Origin: I saw an article from the Big Mustache blog today morning. It said that his CDN had been hacked and many of his group members were also hacked. Only then did I realize that this incident was not something I could avoid. I'd like to share it with everyone now.
Firstly, starting from about 11:11 AM on July 7th, my CDN was accessed by a bot for about 4 hours until around 3 PM on August 8th. The bot visited my website about 300 GB times, which resulted in my account being suspended due to exceeding my data quota. As a result, I managed to save my life.
Secondly, I have set up some settings regarding the related content, especially the single IP access frequency. This saved me from losing my life.
Lastly, I noticed that my CDN started hacking again yesterday night at around 9 PM but only caused HTTP errors. If this happened again, I would have lost more than 300 GB of traffic. So please be aware of your CDN usage. |
