I have checked several Firefox translation plugins, including the most commonly used TWP. I chose Google Translate and then translated the entire webpage.
Firefox's behavior and packet sniffing showed that it directly bundles the whole page before sending it to a private server. It does not send it to Google directly.
So if the plugin author wants to see your webpage content, they can. If the website contains privacy data, such as Notion notes, it is recommended to disable any unnecessary plugins. Use the built-in ones instead. |
