Yesterday I said that from the school that had gone bankrupt, I bought over one hundred desktop computers for under $50 each. They were mostly unusable and looked like they could barely function. However, there was a guy named MJJ who thought it was too expensive but also felt it was worth the money. There was another MJJ who said he should have bought them earlier. Then there was another MJJ who claimed to be watching me sell them on eBay and was planning on buying them back at a much lower price than what I paid for them. This MJJ started posting on forums claiming that I was selling them at an unfair price. I would post on forums saying I was going to sell them for less money. He kept posting "buy this computer for half the price!" and "I'll buy this computer for a quarter of the price."
Yesterday evening I was still working on dismantling these computers while answering calls. These people wanted to come back and get them later. I didn't tell anyone else about the deal because I didn't want to give up my new computers yet. Today morning I got a call from a security company owner who wanted to purchase all the screens. He agreed to pay for the entire screen and I was able to take out the rest of the parts including the mouse, keyboard, network cables, and routers. The only thing left is the 24 port switch which I am not sure how much it's worth.
It seems that so many people don't know how to bargain, but when you do, it's really worth it. After lunch I took a nap and now I have around 130 more computers to dismantle. |
