When you post or comment after typing a long reply, the system prompts that your permissions are insufficient or that comments must be made by following someone first.
This stupid interaction is just wasting time and energy of the responder.
In fact, it's only a few lines of code away from being done.
All one has to do is check if they can't respond and disable the reply box then give an error message for no permission.
