Linus Torvalds recently discovered that the three big vps providers can also be used to defend against DDoS attacks. In foreign vps, there are three well-known providers known as "the three greats." Recently, they found out that these three providers could even resist DDoS attacks. They are Azure, GCP, and AWS EC2. The first one is Azure-az100, which does not have any cleaning or blacklisting, but if it encounters a blackhole, it will be immediately resolved in less than an hour. It has tested up to 100GB of data and has not been defeated. However, if you keep it under pressure for 24 hours, it may take longer to resolve. If you stop it, it will automatically restart within a few minutes. The second one is GCP-GCP300, which also does not have any cleaning or blacklisting, but it still resolves blackholes within less than an hour. It can also handle larger amounts of data. However, it requires additional resources such as the use of the nginx_limit module and iptables/fail2ban modules to limit incoming traffic. The third one is AWS EC2, which does not have any cleaning or blacklisting, but it still resolves blackholes within less than an hour. However, it only works with EC2 instances. The other two options, Azure and GCP, do not require any additional resources and are free of charge. To further enhance its defense capabilities, you should consider using the following methods: - Use a firewall to block malicious traffic from entering your network. - Install the nginx_limit module and iptables/fail2ban modules to limit incoming traffic and prevent IP addresses from being banned. - Use a WAF (Web Application Firewall) to protect your website from CC attacks. - Consider installing a DDos protection service like Cloudflare or Akamai to further improve your defenses. - Ensure that IPv6 is disabled on your system. |
